       On February 27th, The National Science & Technology Awards Conference for 2006 was held ceremoniously at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Leaders of the party and the state including Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao, Zeng Qinghong , Li Changchun attended the conference and awarded for the delegates. Wen Jiabao spoke at the conference in representative of Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council. Li Changchun presided the conference.Chinese President Hu Jintao, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), first awarded the certificate to Li Zhensheng, member of Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, CAS, who had won Highest State Award of Science & Technology in China.
       The awarded individuals and projects were announced at the conference. The three projects recommended by CSEE, “Application of Core Technology of ASVC and its Development”, “Study of Technology Development of CFB Boiler and its Application” and “Plant Level Operation Performance and Online Monitoring and Optimized Control System for Thermal Power Plant” were awarded the second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress. The delegates  who participated the accomplishment of the awarded projects, including Tang Guangfu, Jiang Minhua, and Liu Jizhen. Participants also included leaders from Office of China Electric Power Science and Technology Award and power companies such as Li Ruomei, Shen Jiang, Hu Shihai, Ruan Dawei, Yan Xinrong, Wang Longling, Xu Dingfeng, Hu Xiangyan, Wu Jingjing, and Chen Ping, etc.
