CSEE membership falls into 8 categories:
1. Honorable Members: experts or scholars in high academic position who has made great contribution to the development ofthe electrical engineering technology and CSEE, and granted by the board of director.
2. Senior Members: CSEE members with qualifications of associate professor, assistant researcher, senior engineer or above,together with one of the following conditions:
>Technical expert who has great contribution or rich experience in the circles of academy, engineering or technology. >Winner of National Science and Technology Award, National Science and Technology Invention Award), Nature Award or Provincial or Ministerial level Technical Award. >Member who has important paper or writing published in academic periodicals or conferences both home and abroad. >Having years of working experience in CSEE and important contribution to CSEE.Youth technical workers with great contribution to the country are within consideration of being promoted as an exception.Procedure: the applicant submits the application, referenced by two senior members or recommended by the applicants company.
3. Members: people with one of the following qualifications:
>With title as engineer, lecturer, assistant researcher (including equal title or equal duty) in certain electrical engineering subject (hereinafter referred to as his subject). > Bachelor degree owner with at least five years’ work experience in his subject; postgraduate with at least two years’ work experience; college graduates with at least seven years’ work experience and achieving a level equal to engineer. > People who have certain achievements or contribution in electrical engineering technology or production practice. >Electric technology management leaders zealously supporting CSEE activities. Procedure: the applicant submits completed application form, with reference by one senior member and recommended by provincial society.
4. Associate Members: providing one of the following qualifications:
>People who have a bachelors degree or undergraduate from higher education institutions, and working in the field of his study subject; college graduateswith at least two years’ working experience in his subject; professional school graduate with at least four years’ working experience in his subject. > Master or doctor students. Procedure: same as that of Members.
5. Student Members: higher grade students studying in high educational institutions with excellent performance in his subjects.Procedure: CSEE organizations in the university submit the applications to the provincial society, who handles the formalities.
6. Foreign members: foreign technical workers qualified for CSEE membership requirements, apply to CSEE administrative body, and can be admitted as a member of CSEE on its sanction.
7. Collective Members: Companies or institutions of electrical engineering design, manufacture, construction,operation, science research, teaching, management, etc., which has a number of technical workers of specialty, willing to participate CSEE activities, abide by the rules of CSEE and support CSEE work, apply to CSEE, and can be admitted as a member on its sanction.
8. Scientific and technical personnel in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, who are qualified for the requirements in this regulation apply to CSEE administrative body, and can be admitted as a member of CSEE.
